VASANT CHAUHAN

  

I work with Vasant Chauhan at iVenus where I got to know him.

Having known him for 6 months, I've had the chance to watch his meteoric rise into someone who is arguably the greatest personality of our age.

In this blog, I'll share what I've learned about him--his story that I believe people must know about.

I've broken his story into 3 sections:

1. Early Childhood Life

2. Middle Childhood

3. Adulthood

Let's dive in.

Early Childhood Life

Born on 9th March 1991.

When Vasant was in 3rd Std, his Mom and Dad died. And since then he is staying with his maternal grandmother. He belongs to a poor family. He used to live in the Dhari Area of Amreli village. He spent his whole childhood life there itself. At that time his maternal grandmother used to go to wash clothes at different homes, do household chores of others and she used to take Vasant along with her. His maternal uncle was also there, he used to go for boot polishing. 

And at home only he and his grandmother were left. There was no other option, so he had to go with his grandmother. He used to feel good to see that his grandmother was doing hard work. He used to feel proud of her but also felt sad that no he will be a doctor when he grows up and will not allow his grandmother to do such work. 

Middle Age Life

When Vasant came in 8th Std, their whole family shifted to Surat. When they came to Surat, they used to stay in a small room of rent @Rs.600. 

Whenever Vasant got a holiday or a break, he used to go to sit with his grandfather and help him in his work. So Vasant also used to get 2-5Rs. and used this money as his pocket money. And across the road, there was a Hari Champa Party Plot, where his grandfather used to get the order to boot polish for 3 hours for the guests. 

Vasant and his grandfather used to go together and boot polish people's shoes. At one party, Vasant stole a spoon. After reaching home, he was scolded for doing this act. When asked why he stole that spoon, he answered that such designer spoon he has seen for the first time. He wanted to eat with that spoon every day, it was different. 

Adulthood

He studied in a Government school for two years because there were too many donations for admission. He learned to speak bad words from there. After 12th he studied BBA for 3 years and after that, he completed his MBA for 2 years. At present, he is staying with his maternal grandmother and uncle in Surat city. 

So how did he complete his bachelor's and Masters's?

His uncle was a tailor, so at home, he had the machine. So slowly he also learned alteration of clothes. He also stitched his grandmother's blouse and she is still wearing those. At that, if you could have asked someone that who used to stitch best in his area, people used to take his name. 

He did his first job after he completes his bachelor. His first salary was Rs.8,000. With his first salary, he shifted to a 1BHK flat. And currently, he is staying at his 2BHK flat. 

In 2014-15, there was a Reebook contest, where the prize was that the winner would get to stay with Dhoni, Yuvraj, and Harbhajan in Mumbai. Vasant won that contest.

After that, he starts his career in digital. He used to participate in competitions, worked in Bollywood, write song lyrics, creates lyrics, but there he didn't see his future. He stayed fo there for 1 year and then left. Then he started with his Youtube videos, his second video only was shared by Mr. Lalit Modi

So now you all must have known who is Vasant Chauhan. He always thinks about others and tries to help people. He has not just been a good team leader to me but also a true friend. A great advisor for my lifetime.
